Affiliate Summit West 2008

Well – now that I have submitted this website for review in front of a live audience at the Affiliate Summit, I thought it would be nice to add a new post. I know this is not exactly the best way to add new content, not the right reason for blogging. However, I hope this will provide a lesson and reason for keeping up on blog posts. After all, this is the best way to communicate on your website and share ideas with visitors.

The Affiliate Summit continues to grow. The agenda in place for the 2008 west summit in Las Vegas looks to provide a wealth of information for both beginners and advanced affiliates marketers. I have already spoken with many friends I have met over the years attending the Affiliate Summit and it will be great to see them all in person. I have been contacted by several new networks making a presence at the summit and can’t wait to see the familiar faces of those working with and for the well established firms.

I have signed and excited about attending the Internet marketing Boot Camp being sponsored and presented by “Ten Golden Rules.” Every time they have a presentation, you are sure to walk away with a few nuggets that can be implemented immediately. This event will be kicking of the Affiliate Summit for me and I cannot wait to get started.

Hope to see you there,

Rich

Affiliate Summit East 2007 Kicks Thing Off With A Bang

Officially the Affiliate Summit has started, and let me tell you, whoa. There are so many people attending now from across the affiliate marketing spectrum. Affiliates (Publishers), Merchants (Advertisers) and Networks cram into a room for the official kick-off event, the “Affiliate Meet Market.” There was such a strong showing, that it was not long before everyone was struggling to make their way from table to table, waiting one behind another, to chat with representatives. It is little surprise that this event is has grown to over 1800 people in a just a couple of years.

I had a great time seeing and touching base with so many people that I have met through the Affiliate Summit in the past, and had the wonderful opportunity of meeting so many more people. I already find it difficult to know where to start when sharing all the great affiliate programs and networks I came across today. However, there was one thing that really jumped out and I think is very interesting. Joel Comm, the “Doctor Adsense”, has put together a reality TV show for the internet called “The Next Internet Millionaire.” Now this has much more to do with Internet Marketing than Affiliate Marketing, but it will be interesting to see how affiliates can capitalize of this reality TV show contest.

Affiliate Summit Prepares for a Big Weekend

I arrived in Miami at 6:00am to rain and a temperature of 80 degrees. This is not what I was expecting for Miami, a place of sun and beaches, but believe this will be a good thing for the Affiliate Summit. The sticky humid air will help keep attendees inside, which means more networking and Joint Venture possibilities. After all, this is what the Affiliate Summit is really all about, a chance to meet people who are shaping the affiliate marketing industry and to get some insight on how the internet is changing. It’s all about meeting as many people as possible, publishers, advertisers, and networks from all niches.
I will be starting my Affiliate Summit by attending the “Affiliate Management Best Practices Seminar” where I hope to be able to share a lot of knowledge with aspiring affiliate managers and merchants that want to start an affiliate program. Attending this seminar will the start of a new section on HomeBizJour that will help people learn how to recruit and retain affiliates, building strong relationships with your A & B affiliates, create massive income, run a successful affiliate program and much more. I will be sharing just a sampling of this after the seminar.
