Affiliate Summit West 2008

Well – now that I have submitted this website for review in front of a live audience at the Affiliate Summit, I thought it would be nice to add a new post. I know this is not exactly the best way to add new content, not the right reason for blogging. However, I hope this will provide a lesson and reason for keeping up on blog posts. After all, this is the best way to communicate on your website and share ideas with visitors.

The Affiliate Summit continues to grow. The agenda in place for the 2008 west summit in Las Vegas looks to provide a wealth of information for both beginners and advanced affiliates marketers. I have already spoken with many friends I have met over the years attending the Affiliate Summit and it will be great to see them all in person. I have been contacted by several new networks making a presence at the summit and can’t wait to see the familiar faces of those working with and for the well established firms.

I have signed and excited about attending the Internet marketing Boot Camp being sponsored and presented by “Ten Golden Rules.” Every time they have a presentation, you are sure to walk away with a few nuggets that can be implemented immediately. This event will be kicking of the Affiliate Summit for me and I cannot wait to get started.

Hope to see you there,

Rich

Affiliate Summit Prepares for a Big Weekend

I arrived in Miami at 6:00am to rain and a temperature of 80 degrees. This is not what I was expecting for Miami, a place of sun and beaches, but believe this will be a good thing for the Affiliate Summit. The sticky humid air will help keep attendees inside, which means more networking and Joint Venture possibilities. After all, this is what the Affiliate Summit is really all about, a chance to meet people who are shaping the affiliate marketing industry and to get some insight on how the internet is changing. It’s all about meeting as many people as possible, publishers, advertisers, and networks from all niches.
I will be starting my Affiliate Summit by attending the “Affiliate Management Best Practices Seminar” where I hope to be able to share a lot of knowledge with aspiring affiliate managers and merchants that want to start an affiliate program. Attending this seminar will the start of a new section on HomeBizJour that will help people learn how to recruit and retain affiliates, building strong relationships with your A & B affiliates, create massive income, run a successful affiliate program and much more. I will be sharing just a sampling of this after the seminar.

Affiliate Marketing Grows as we Approach Affiliate Summit

One week until the Affiliate Summit East 2007 and I am getting so excited. I have seen the Affiliate Summit grow in leaps and bounds over the last several years. Each time I attend this event, I learn so much more about Affiliate Marketing and how to grow my affiliate program. The upcoming event is being held in Miami. Last year it was held in Orlando and marked the first time the Affiliate Summit was held on the east coast. It was such a huge success, not only have they decided to bring it back to the east coast, but there are plans to hold an Affiliate Summit in London this September. Truly this is a testament to the growing popularity of Affiliate Marketing around the world.
I did not attend the Affiliate Summit East last year and was surprised how much information I missed out on. Everything on the internet moves at such a fast pace, that if you are not attending these types of events at once every 6 months, you can start to get behind on technology. That is why HomeBizJour could not miss out on attending this summit in Miami. I look forward to touching base with those I met in Las Vegas last January and look forward to meeting new people. The industry has changed so much, that not only can you meet people managing an Affiliate Program, but also many people from Networks, Managed services, Programmers, Developers and Affiliates. I look forward to sharing the Summit with everyone as it takes place and maybe even have time to get a sun tan.

Affiliate Marketing takes Las Vegas by Storm - Day 1

The most recent Affiliate Summit started off with a bang. Over 2200 attendees packed into the conference rooms at the Bally’s Hotel and Casino to get the latest insight into affiliate marketing and discuss upcoming internet trends. Speakers have come from all aspects of the internet industry to discuss SEO, Website creation, the affects of MySpace, Lead Generation, and the power of niches.
This is my third year attending the Affiliate Summit and I have seen it grow from 250 people to over 2000 in that time. I have seen the power of Affiliate Networks grow in affiliate marketing by leaps and bounds. When I started three years ago, there was just a handful of Networks to choose from. Now, the Affiliate Summit is full of them. Networks expose Affiliates to many different affiliate programs in just one resource. Networks can often vary in their specialty of Internet niches, but I found that many are providing access to the same affiliate programs. The difference in their service will come from how well they support Affiliates. Therefore, as an Affiliate, you can either subscribe to many different networks or simply find one that works best for you and build a relationship with one Network. Often a Network will be more than willing to provide contact information on existing Affiliates to ask questions before joining. If you would like more information on Affiliate Networks please e-mail me at rrowe@HomeBizJour.com.
